Mets place Robinson Cano on injured list, activate Billy Hamilton

His injury is particularly unfortunate for the Mets considering that the 37-year-old had gotten off to a blistering start. In his first 39 plate appearances, Cano was hitting at a torrid .412/.462/.559 clip with a homer and two doubles.
